BACCYard Kids Ministries
Position: Kids Praise Volunteer
Description: Either Sunday school hour (9-10am) or Kids' Praise hour (10:15am-12pm). Lead kids activities and discussion. You won't believe the fun you can have!
Qualifications Needed: Active relationship with Christ, a background check, some paperwork, and a small fee
Time Commitment: Usually 1 or 2 Sundays a month. Some light mid-week planning.
American Heritage Girls
Position: AHG Volunteer (female)
Description: Help girls develop important life skills and attitudes through service projects and badge work. You can help girls to connect with each other and with Jesus!
Qualifications Needed: Active relationship with Christ, a background check, some paperwork, and a small fee
Time Commitment: Every other Sunday, 1:30pm-3pm at church from September 13th to May 16th, 2027. Some light mid-week planning.
Pastoral Care
Position: Pastoral Care Volunteer
Description: Assist Pastoral Care Ministry in visiting and serving Home-Bound Communion to those who cannot regularly attend church
Qualifications Needed: A willing heart and a little bit of time.
Time Commitment: Sunday immediately following the church service. Usually for one month out of the year.
Worship and Tech Teams
Position: Media/Tech Team (Audio, Slides, Camera Operator, Photo/Video, Social Media
Description: You don't have to be a computer wizard to serve on the tech team, though it helps. If you're interested in vital, behind-the-scenes work, we'd love to hear from you.
Qualifications: A commited relationship with Jesus, a teachable attitude, and interest!
Time Commitment:
Depends on position, but most are Sundays from 9am-during service. We can work with you!
Missions Team
Position: Missions Volunteer
Description: Serving community members directly or supporting those serving on the ground. Projects include serving at various soup kitchens, promoting fund drives, Build-a-Bed, Meal Packing, and other events.
Qualifications: An active relationship with Jesus and a humble attitude.
Time Commitment: Committee meets after church two or three times per year discussing mission project plans.
Building and Grounds
Position: Committee Volunteer
Description: Inspect, maintain, and repair facilitiy operating systems. Landscaping is included.
Qualifications: No experience necessary!
Time Commitment: Depends on the project, but we can work with your schedule.
Fellowship Team
Position: Volunteer
Description: Provide and/or serve food for various events at the church facility. Includes funeral meal receptions, various church dinners/luncheons, and benevolent care for those unable to cook for themselves.
Qualifications Needed: Good kitchen skills are not required, just a love to serve people!
Time Commitment: "On-call." Most needs are daytime and may require something as simple as supplying a side dish for a meal or giving your time to serve a group of people from our kitchen.
Ignite Student Ministries
Position: Youth Volunteer Leader
Description: Partner with the youth ministries in lessons, activities, and service projects.
Qualifications Needed: Active relationship with Christ, background check, and a teachable spirit.
Time Commitment: Sunday either during Sunday school hour, from 9am-10am or 11am- 11:45am. Some light mid-week planning. Usually committed for the school calendar year.
Finance Committee
Position: Committee Member
Description: Provide financial oversight, compliance, planning, reporting, and safeguarding of church assets.
Qualifications Needed: Members are approved by the Finance Team and Elder Board for an indefinite term.
Time Commitment: Once a month meeting.
Hospitality and Guest Care
Position: Sunday Morning Greeter or Guest Follow-Up during the week.
Description: A smiling, welcoming first impression for everyone who walks in the doors. Also need volunteers to set up coffee and food. Another needed position is the welcome desk, helping guests get the information they need.
Qualifications: A commited relationship with Jesus, a teachable attitude, and interest!
Time Commitment:
Depends on position, but most are Sundays from 9:45-10:30am. We can work with you!
Small Groups
Position: Small Group Leader
Description: Disciple-making through small groups in your home or in the church building. Please talk to Dan for more details!
Qualifications: An active relationship with Jesus, a humble attitude, and interest in teaching others.
Time Commitment: Very dependent on your own schedule.
Outdoor Ministry
Position: Volunteer Leader
Description: Help plan and create outdoor discipleship experiences and service projects on a monthly basis.
Qualifications: An active relationship with Jesus, a humble attitude, and interest in teaching others.
Time Commitment: Depends on the project, but we can work with your schedule. Usually once a month.
