“How can I help?”
I know so many of you are wondering the same question when you see the devastation and the tragedy in Haiti that has hit so close to home for us .
Although I wish I could put us in the middle of that city to do all we could, the fact is that we would probably be in the way more than anything. Right now is a time for the medical teams and the aid workers. But there is something you can do. As many of you know we are in the midst of a large-scale collection of basic food and medical supplies to ship over to partners at Northwest Haiti Christian Mission. We need your help to get these supplies boxed up and driven to Frankfort so they can be moved to Haiti.
We need your help every Wednesday (starting tonight, Jan 20) from 5-6pm to pack up the boxes and then we need people willing to drive the boxes to the warehouse in Frankfort for shipping to those who need it.
John 13:34-35…” A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” This is how you can help. This is how you can love the Haitian people…
