Apron Review

By David Casey

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us and we are marching towards Christmas, I’m curious of something; those of you that helped with our Apron meal, what did you think of it?

What kinds of things should we look at doing differently next year. I’m anxious to hear what you who participated would change or modify for our next effort.

What kind of Apron are we putting on for Christmas?

1) Use the same crew for everything next year! They were the BEST!
2) Overbook as the airlines do for no shows
3) Have a specific clean up crew
4) Have a host & hostess to greet & assist the groups to their table

Kitchen crew-how was your end of things?

Perhaps stagger the seating times so everyone not in line in kitchen at same time trying to get food out. There was quite a long wait at times. Not sure how to do it, but is there a faster way to fill the plates? Maybe just to have a set menu—no choices—that way kitchen can start loading plates easier than passing down plates that each have individual ticket/order. That would make it easier for servers in getting it back to the correct person also… (The Isaiah House group were a little confused though—they thought they were coming to help serve–not to be served) Overall I thought it was a great effort, beautiful decorations, etc. and I think we should do it again next year.

Hey David, I’ve got lots of things to say about ideas for next year, but I’m so busy right now at the studio, I don’t really have time to go into it. I do think this year was great with a few kinks. would like to be included in a planning session for next year.

All in all everything went very well! Everyone worked as a team and got things done graciously! I enjoyed every minute of it! I am in for next year!
