Starting off right…

By David Casey

fastingNow that the new year is fast approaching and it’s time for us to begin the process of setting those iron-clad resolutions, (sigh) I want to challenge each of you to consider partnering with me in a one-day fast on Jan 1. We started off 2009 with this same challenge and this year will be no different.

Fasting simply isn’t about not eating for a period of time but rather denying our flesh to focus on the spirit. It’s symbolic of the daily sacrifice we have to make as we “offer ourselves as living sacrifices”. (Romans 12:1) If you can’t do an entire day, then would you consider skipping a meal or possible two?

Will you join me?

I hope you’ll kick off 2010 the best way possible… in the spirit!

Living Christmas Tree

By David Casey

13636_1196447069403_1175263661_30437040_2358437_sWhat an incredible gift we offered to Christ this weekend as over 1200 people came out to celebrate Christ’s birth with us. I am confident that He was pleased with what went on.

I have never been so proud of being apart of this church as I was this weekend. Your effort and selflessness made it an event to remember. From those that sang solos to those who worked tirelessly and thanklessly in the office printing programs, it truly was a team effort.  In short, You all made God look good. Thanks for that.

He gets all the glory and we get all the peace…

What stirred you all most about the Living Christmas Tree?

LCT

By David Casey

The Living Christmas TreeI gotta tell you how excited I am about the Christmas production going on this weekend here at BACC. Just the sound checks fire me up. It is something that so much thought and work has gone into that I just know it will give what is due to our King.

I hope He gets all the glory for it. It’s our gift to Him, after all, it is His birthday.

See you this weekend…

Apron Review

By David Casey

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us and we are marching towards Christmas, I’m curious of something; those of you that helped with our Apron meal, what did you think of it?

What kinds of things should we look at doing differently next year. I’m anxious to hear what you who participated would change or modify for our next effort.
