Hey Everyone… In case the pig roast and pot-luck gets rained out tomorrow evening (and we’re pretty sure it will) we will have it after church on Sunday. So if it rains tomorrow, plan on staying after 2nd service on Sunday for a fantastic meal!

Don’t forget that this Saturday, Oct 31st, will be our fall picnic and pig roast. It’s from 4:30 – 7pm.
There will be a bon-fire, games, and lots of food!
Bring your corn-hole boards and your appetite! See you there!

I never knew how big of a deal it was getting my first passport… Sure I understood how, especially since it was shortly after 9/11, the scrutiny you underwent was necessary, but I didn’t understand what could take so long. I waited nearly 4 months to get mine back. Maybe it’s because my photo on it looks like it was taken straight outta the FBI’s Most Wanted, but regardless I got it and now, I am cleared to travel anywhere in the world because of that simple little thing. My Passport is a doorway to the world…
Do you have your passport? If so, how many stamps do you have? (I have 13) What doors have been opened to you because you have one? Gone anywhere noteworthy? Tell me, I really want to know!
Over the next couple weeks I hope you are challenged to look at your life through the context of a passport and see how you’ve invested and where you’ve ventured. Take a look at the passport of your life… its all there, the places you’ve gone and the rights of passages you’ve attained… What does it say??
See you Sunday… (Don’t forget to bring your passport, you may need it once you leave!)

I hope you are excited for the upcoming Apron event on Nov 22. I believe that this is exactly the kind of the thing that the Church should be focused on.
Let me lay out for you the areas in which we will need help
1) Recruitment – This team will coordinate the invitation of our guests.
2)Food – This team will organize the preparation and solicitation of all the food for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
3) Serve – This group will help serve the meal as well as assist in the set-up of the dining room.
4) Program – We hope to share the gospel message through a creative program of music and message.
5) Follow-up - This will be the largest effort because it seeks to further build bridges by carrying on the effort of the Apron into the Holiday season.
I ask that you will begin to pray about where God would have you to serve as we take off our bibs and put on the apron to impact many for Christ.

For those of you who haven’t heard, we are planning a new event this Thanksgiving and we have dubbed it the “Apron”. The premise is simple, for the 10 Thanksgiving seasons that I have been involved in this church, we have always had a spectacular meal together on the Sunday prior to the Holiday. There is always an amazing amount of food and fellowship. This year, however, our focus is changing from inward to outward. This year, we are going to take off our “bib” and put on our “apron”, it’s going to be about serving others instead of serving ourselves.
Mark it down now… Sunday evening, November 22nd, 6pm.
This is an opportunity to show others how much value is on their life. This is an opportunity to model Christ…
Who will put on their apron? (John 13)
