Taken
If you’ve seen the movie that has this title, then you already know what a great picture it paints. Not only of captivity, but of deliverance.
I love the picture of pursuit that it illustrated by the father who will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing, to get his child back. It reminds me of Jesus telling us in Matthew 18:13 “…What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? 13And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off”. Don’t you just love this picture?
The truth is, God is pursing you… Sometimes He is because you are running from Him and other times because you are so ensnared by the enemy that you can’t seem to get to Him. Either way, He will stop at nothing to get you back. Have you ever looked at your life like that? Have you ever seen yourself that valuable to the creator of the universe?
